If anything, he's trying to get the lightening detectors unplugged.  It's probably killing him not knowing what time they go.

As a thunderstorm grows, electrical charges build up within the cloud. Oppositely charged particles gather at the ground below. The attraction between positive and negative charges quickly grows strong enough to overcome the air's resistance to electrical flow. Racing toward each other, they connect and complete the electrical circuit. also, if memory serves, the voltage required to arc across air is 3 million volts per meter. So if the cloud is 100 meters from earth, that lighting is worth 300 million volts.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

eff that was great. Weather delay so I didn't have to haul ass from kc. Went to bolos and got pak'd. And rolling to the stadium shuttle express style. Bus.
