Stoops better have a talk with his facilities, website, and media guide folks...they need to reduce their number of conference championships to 40, instead of the 43 they currently list on the pressbox and elsewhere, since they lost head-to-head to the co-champs in 1946, 1976, and 1978.

And their 1976 title would be identical to KSU's this year. Three way tie with OSU and CU, lost to both.

Yep. AND, like OU would have this year, CU beat both the other co-champs, OSU and OU.

Isn't it time for the Big 12 to have a playoff?  Too much controversy about this shared title.

I am. Seriously, we (us! by we, i am including US (message board posters)) are going to be big 12 champions in just over 144 hours (24*6 or so).

good story: you know those big 12 champions hats they gave out in 2003? they were pretty sweet, you could tell they were official. well, i was pissed I never got one. Recently, while walking downstairs in nichols hall (around midnight) i spotted the hat in a random lost and found bin. It was pretty rundown and dirty, but damn did I want that hat. I called my mother to ask what she would do. we both agreed to keep the hat in the lost and found and wait another two weeks to see if it would be claimed. Well, we are one week away baby!  :bball:
Not so fast my friend....still got to show up on Saturday....or should I show a montage of teams that just didn't show up against ISU?

What is 18-1?  Is that the number of Big 12 championships KU has compared to K-State?

I am firmly back on Team Dr. Pepper.  I apologize for my earlier comments on the Baylor Hate Thread when I said flavors 1-22 are probably crap.

If there's an asterisk at all, it would be the same size as KU's last conference championship that occured in...

This thread has a LOT of potential to turn gold - right now, i think it's a solid bronze-but-leaning-to-silver.

This guy is ready for the Dr Pepp
We are K-State and we love to hire SHlTTY coaches.

KU's 2007 Basketball Title? that was by far the biggest asterisk. you tied texas and lost the head to head with them.
