I watched the game with some sadness, it wouldn't have hurt us if we had lost, but you guys really needed this win to have some sort of good feeling leading into your move to the SEC and the death of your season.

I mean, at least you could have something to brag about in the upcoming losing seasons in the SEC. Plus beating us while we are rebuilding is something like a championship game for you, especially since you haven't seen a real NC game since 1939.

After contemplating it further, I can't be too sad. You guys made your bed because you felt we were wronging you, so now you have to lay in it.

What is sad is that in the long run, the only reason the SEC accepted you is that it gives them another in-road into recruiting Texas HS students. So you are leaving a league that poached the best recruits from you and going to a league that is going to poach the best recruits from you. Have fun!

So many of them must feel right now like we did in 1998. Fantastic.

There's a thread talking about turning down their bowl game. I hope they do that and the Big 12 sues them for lost revenue.

In Aggieland, if you don't think exactly the way I think then you shouldn't go here!

I can't wait for these olds to realize that A&M is not the small regional military school that it was in their day. Hilarity will ensue.

I was hoping we'd find a way to bowl snub them. Kinda tough when they're Pinstripe bound, though.  :frown:

we got what we deserved for being so stupid and trying to run away from tu and the big 12. we should have manned up instead of being babies. God will show us how dumb we've been. we should beg to get back in the big 12

This game reminds me of why I don't care to play tu again. After this loss I can expect several tu fan to rub in the loss, but if we had won I cannot bring myself to sink to that level and return the favor. As student I rooted for tu to beat Nebraska to win that first Big 12 championship, but living among texas fan has made me hate them with every pore of my body. Even when my cousin played baseball for tu, I could only root for him but not the rest if the team.

On a side note I thought the tu band half time was classy

saying that we don't "sink to their level" while refusing to say "longhorns" or "texas" or "ut" is kind of ironic. we need to get over ourselves and get with the idea that tradition and aggie spirit won't win us football games. i'm tired of getting humiliated by every good team we play most years.

Every team has its idiot fans. Including both Texas and A&M.

It's an important game that will be sorely missed. I can't help but think it is a major error to drop the series.

1st of all this is an Aggie message board, to tu fans I say texas. And yes there are bad fans everywhere, but in the greater San Antonio area tu aholes reign supreme.

what was the BS call? I must have missed it. but seriously...this season for A&M has made me laugh a lot. They're so screwed in the SEC in pretty much every way.

In a thread talking about potentially having Manny Diaz replace Mike Sherman:

Quote
Have you seen how short he is though? This would be so typical; hire a coach that's been around for 10 minutes. No way. I think Sumlin would be a great hire. African American; that'll work ideally going to where we're headed. Thoughts?

Enjoy the little things. Someday you'll look back and realize they were big things.

Now that the Tags are in the SEC, they should throw $10M/ year at Urb and play with the big boys they think they are.

They called helmet to helmet hit on an A&M DB, but he avoided the UT WR on the incomplete pass and his helmet just barely hit the UT player's facemask. It was a complete bs call but I'm glad it helped A&M lose. They deserved it.

I dunno. The DB clearly put the top of his helmet into the receiver's facemask. Say what you want about the validity of the rule, but what the DB did is a definite 15 yard penalty.

Plus from the back judge's point of view at full speed it definitely had to look more violent than the slow motion replays.

Yep.  And the Receiver's head whipped to the side quite a bit.

I wish it were less valid so I can lol at ATM more.

I expect the refs to call 10 of those on MU at the Border War for all time conference supremecy and LSOC getting drunk and mocking fans from the 2 loser schools playing in it game.
