You're making it really hard to be a TSC guy beams.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

KU football is now a joke, of course, and it comes by this status honestly.

Sammy's KU fandom kind of made a DeArmondesque appearance there.

Also, I'm still angry that he nearly plagiarized my Big 12 narrative series yesterday, but whatever.  This particular commentary was beyond stupid by even Mellinger standards:

If you get beyond the rubbernecking of a disastrous season — last in both offense and defense; gave up 70 points in one game and gained 36 yards in another — you see an opportunity as promising as any that figures to be available this winter other than Ohio State and perhaps Tennessee.

SAM, THEY PLAY IN A STADIUM WITH A TRACK.  A TRACK!  THEY CAN'T EVEN GIVE AWAY TICKETS TO GAMES WHEN THEY'RE WINNING.

God, I can't believe this is Kansas City's columnist.  JFC.

The fact ku continues to think the facilities there are so good is part of their problem.

Kansas football shouldn’t expect to date supermodels, but it should have experience in the Maxim Top 100.

This is not 100%, but a quick look around showed 4 FBS schools with football/track facitilities. Two were in the MAC, including Buffalo so TG was used to it.  The other besides UK is Washington and considering the unbelievable setting there, i will let this one go.

This perception that KU is this sleeping giant of an athletic department is wrong.  They suck at pretty much everything except MBB.

I believe they are redoing Husky stadium, so KU may soon be able to add "only BCS school with a track" to their attributes as a upper middle class program

This part of the column has to of been ripped completely from a gridiron board post

Quote
KU’s roster is made up of recruiting classes ranked by Rivals between fourth (2009) and eighth (2010) in the Big 12.

Recruiting rankings have flaws, but the players KU had this year and will have next year were ranked higher than the ones who won the Orange Bowl after the 2007 season.

Also, NFL validation of the best KU talking point of the season

Quote
some NFL scouts think the talent difference between KU and K-State is nominal

Ya know, if Sammy boy would write with this much zeal all the time he would be much more interesting

KU fan's approach to a coaching search is very similar to Missouri's basketball coaching search last year. They kept dropping big names and truly believed they were an option. Very, very sad.

So Mellinger plagarized without citing?  That is actually a pretty big deal.

Confirmed.  Husky Stadium is removing track as we speak.  Now KU will join the ranks of Buffalo and Eastern Michigan as the only D1 football teams that share their facility with the track team.
