Statistically, there have been only two teams that have had a season in Big 12 play that qualifies as an "outlier."  Chigon did the math on it, some time ago.

The first was UT's horrible season a decade ago.

The second was KU's Orange bowl year.

That's just math, man.

Statistically, KU has 24 Big 12 titles to K-State's 7.  Statistically, KU has 12 national titles to K-State's 0.  Statistically, KU's endowment is the 3rd highest in the Big 12 at $1.055 billion.  K-State is dead last at $278 million.   Statistically, KU owns the all-time series against K-State in football by almost 30 games.

You were saying?

I was just trying to explain to you the very definition of a "fluke" (three standard deviations away from the mean), and how KU's best football season (ever) fits this definition.  :dunno:

It's not that hard, bro.

it's pretty clear he doesn't know much about statistics.

I'm familiar with statistical significance.  It doesn't change the fact that KU's 12-1 Orange Bowl season tops anything that K-State has accomplished in the history of your football program.

That is incredibly non true. Big 12 champs dwarfs this.

Also...and I am just guessing here....I think it maybe hurts Beams feelings (and most KU fans) that nothing but football matters during these turbulent times.

To be so, so accomplished at Basketball and to have it me virtually nothing to the networks and University presidents must be terribly disappointing.

Prayers, beams.

You're a f*cking moron.  Football doesn't matter, either.  Realignment is all about adding TV sets.  Why do you think the ACC is adding Syracuse?  Because of their football program?

Nebraska brought what to the Big 10??????

TV sets for basketball games?  :dunno:

I don't think you understand this process very well.

But, they have no TV sets in their state, relative to Kansas....and their basketball program is terrible...and the Big 10 knew that they were going to get booted from the AAU.  Why would the Big 10 want Nebraska over KU, for example?  :dunno:

BCS is so meaningless that they're going to trash it. Congrats on winning a bowl game from an outdated and insolvent system.

Guys, no one post in this thread anymore.

Beams is not himself tonight.  This has been a very, very difficult week/month/year for him...and it's obviously culminating tonight.

Let's just let him cool off and we'll pick back up with this tomorrow, so that he doesn't say anything else he'll terribly regret later.

You're talking to a fan base who is in position to compare.
97, 12-1 (only loss to eventual NC) and Fiesta Bowl champs
03, Big 12 champs.

No one on this board will argue 97 was the better year.

Time to let Beams cool off....he's a valuable member of this community, and continued posting in this thread is just making him look more stupider and more stupider.

I'm sure you guys can understand the pain he (and all of our Jayhawk brothers and sisters) is going through on a night like tonight.

Let's try to show some restraint, in this their darkest hour, ever, that will last forever.

You're so right. Put yourself in their place. What if Texas somehow managed to win a CTR game and then walked away from the league with scoreboard forever.
That would really, really hurt.

You know what's hard to explain?  Why turner/chuck went away from running the option with #17.  It was incredibly frustrating to watch and I didn't even have my jayhawk sticker on.

It's #12 (Christian Matthews).  And yes, it's hard to explain why he wasn't the starting QB for the entire season.  That's why Gill and co. need to go.

Hey, Bill had collin at wr.   Sometimes good coaches make bad choices.  Give gill a chance.  It's not his fault that dc got cancer.

I really am trying to understand, but its been a really long time since K-State went through an entire conference season and failed to win a conference game. A really long time.

I feel horrible for beems.  :frown:  This is probably the most depressed/delusional I've ever seen him.  His posting history shows that he knows very little about college football (which I think we can all forgive him for) but he's made some really insane comments in this thread, even for him.

Just a really, really sad meltdown.
