let's just see how happy you are ten years from now when we're sitting pretty with a dod2 that consists of a second place finish plus a bunch of mediocre seasons. and let this soak in for a minute or two: how much better is this team with someone like leach as the man in charge? do you think leach loses to okie st lite? do you?

point well taken.

counterpoint- for all the snydvocates: without a coach like mike leach do you think this team has a chance to grow into the next b12 powerhouse? even without this year's 2nd place finish, do you think a foundation is being laid? or is it a nice little rest stop on the way out to meadowlark hills for snyder? leach is the only solution in a long list of solutions that are being discussed right now.

Here's another question for you guys. Would this season be successful without Arthur Brown & Chris Harper? Of course I would like to throw in Brod & Bryce, but they haven't been a factor.

The point I'm trying to make is those guys can't be considered "Recruits" as I doubt they were actively pursued by this coaching staff to transfer.

Who has this staff recruited that even looks promising? Lockett? Doubt we would have even had to give him a scholly.... He would have come no matter what.

Who then, has this staff recruited that has lead to this seasons success?

this is a great point - I've been beating this drum for a while. Success this year is great - two years from now? I am on TeamLeach and if the Pirate doesn't work out - we need to conduct a non-busch league coaching search (if that is possible)

We should get a banner to fly over the stadium saying "Sure enjoy this year, but the future is doomed unless we hire Mike Leach or somebody like him (who has LCBS recruited anyway). What we need is a real coaching big-time coaching search now."
