Just to spend some more time whining about our low poll ranking here are all the two loss teams, who they lost to and who they beat when their opponent was ranked.
#6 Arkansas - Losses to Alabama, LSU; Wins - A&M, Auburn, South Carolina
#8 Oregon - Losses to LSU, USC; Wins - Arizona State, Stanford
#9 USC - Losses to Arizona State (unranked), Stanford; Wins - Notre Dame, Oregon
#11 Michigan State - Losses to Notre Dame (unranked), Nebraska; Wins - Michigan, Wisconsin
#12 Georgia - Losses to Boise State, South Carolina; Wins - Georgia Tech
#13 Oklahoma - Losses to Texas Tech (unranked), Baylor; Wins - Texas, K-State
#14 South Carolina - Losses to Auburn (unranked), Arkansas; Win - Clemson
#15 Wisconsin - Losses to Michigan State, Ohio State (unranked); Wins - Nebraska, Penn State
#16 K-State - Losses to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State; Wins - Baylor, Texas
#17 Michigan - Losses to Michigan State, Iowa (unranked); Win- Nebraska
All told, I am not upset about being ranked behind Arkansas, Oregon and Oklahoma. The others I have a problem with. Also, while I appreciate Houston being 12-0, they a have one win over an AQ opponent (38-34 vs. UCLA) and they barely beat La. Tech. If K-State was 12-0 vs. that schedule we would be lucky to be ranked.
There was actually a voter (Rob Long of a Baltimore radio station) that has us #21 on his ballot.
http://www.pollspeak.com/component/option,com_psreport/Itemid,36/lang,en/t1,42/task,singleteamr/I know it is very gpc to whine about rankings, but the coaches poll and Harris poll are what is keeping us out of the BCS right now.
