"Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" rock version repeatedly blasting BSFS, Freeman to Jordy for the win, postgame quote from Prince about learning from non-legendary Al Groh (VA coach not to be confused with Foo Fighter) to put the ball in your best player's hands.

“Our plan was to be the best team in November,’’ said Freeman. “That’s the equivalent of playoff football, to be the best in November, and we’re on our way to do that.’’ Turned out, K-State lost the following week at Kansas when Freeman committed six turnovers.

The Longhorns were favored by 17½ points going into the game. Behind Josh Freeman’s three-touchdown performance, Kansas State shocked No. 4 Texas. The game was broadcast nationally on ABC's Saturday Night Football. The fans stormed the field after the game and tried unsuccessfully for several minutes to tear down the goalpost on the north endzone.

And of course:

Quote
Indeed, this coming Saturday, we are the underdog to the University of Texas. Outside of Texas, very few people cheer for the Longhorns because the University of Texas represents in most people's minds incredible wealth and arrogance. Many Texans believe that the world begins and ends with Texas. After all, if you know your Texas history, Texas was an independent nation-state from 1836 to 1845. Many people in Texas still think they should be a separate nation.

It was actually only 43 yards total since he also had 12 yards in losses.

Da-vid  Al-len   clap,clap..clap,clap,clap

ps. look at the pressure we put on "the major".  3 picks, 3 fumbles, and 3 hours of hell.    Enjoy it because we've barely even touched a QB in weeks.

1999  -  First time K-State plays in Austin.  End of third quarter. The UT band plays the Wabash like they do every game. The 5-7 thousand K-State fans in the corner of the stadium start going insane and wabashing uncontrollably. The WTF looks on UT fans faces was gold.

A close game then turns into a rout in the Fourth--- K-State 35 UT 17 -- Major Applewhite forever mentally scarred..    :ksu:

unfortunately the crushing losses when we had national champ level teams still stick in my mind a lot more than any of the recent upsets.

The game where the TV announcers kept slobbing the knob of Major Applewhite, even while he was on his way to turning over the ball to our defense 6 times.  They were like a frog in a pot of water being brought to a boil--even as Applewhite kept turning it over, they couldn't stop themselves from Major Applewhite worship.
