Now comparing The Chamber favorably to Michael Bishop.

They've gone full powerespect.

I think there are quite a few posters on this site who hold Ell in higher esteem than he deserves.  Partly because they pretty young when they watched him.

Personally, I think CK is every bit as good as Ell.  Ell had more ability to make the big athletic play, but he was also prone to make bonehead plays (e.g. the game at UT in 2003).

You can compare him to Ell.

You can't compare him to Bishop.

And if we didn't recover CK's fumble in the endzone?

Beasley was better than Klein too. He didn't make mistakes, and he could throw the ball pretty well.

He is equal to ell as far as i'm concerned, although their run styles are not the same. The bishop crap is ridiculous because bish could throw it 70 yards and let someone run under it

Meh...I'll give it to the guy trying to win the game on a TD, versus the guy carrying it like a loaf of bread.

Also, I'll take CK over Beasley.

All of the DoD QBs had top 10 defenses, CK is doing it without a net

Ell would have been out for the season five games ago with turf toe because we have no running back.

Any RB out there with Ell would become a lot better.  See 2003 Sproles vs. 2004 Sproles.

Sproles and Klein on stretch read would have been incredible.

Imagine how bad Hubert would be without Klein.  Wow.

the offense today is a lot different than it was for ell. If Ell was primarily running zone read from the shotgun, things would have been a lot different.

Klein has not had nearly as many long runs as Ell.  I don't think we can say Klein is as explosive as Ell.  I don't know if that is necessarily speed, but it sure seems like it.
