Carrots and hummus may be in my top 3 snacks.

separate snacks though right? like pita and hummus #2 and carrots and ranch #3?

Carrots and ranch is for children. Carrots and hummus is for men.

maybe blind men or men with no sense of taste and/or smell.

Blind men? If you're saying their sense of taste is enhanced to make up for their lack of sense of sight, then yes, I agree that someone with that great of taste would enjoy it.

no. i'm saying that the blind guy got into his fridge and grabbed some carrots and then grabbed what he thought was ranch only to find out that it was hummus, but by that time he was now back in living room and didn't want to bump into walls for the next five minutes to correct his mistake.

Right, I'm sure a blind guy wouldn't have learned by this point in his life to smell a condiment before he walks all the way back to the other room with it. I swear Rick Daris, you are so ignorant sometimes.

Shredded carrots on a salad are ok, but thick ones as big as a sharpie are completely unnecessary

Parents had a beagle for my adolescent years and the dog LOVED raw carrots as treats. Ate them like they were a piece of steak!

So skip ahead 30 years and wife gets a Puggle - half-pug/half beagle and damned if that mongrel spawn doesn't go ape-do-do over carrots.

Only problem is after 2-3 in a day he yaks on the carpet somewhere.

Carrots were meant for dogs.
