I don't think its coincidence that the last game as Top 5 teams was in 58 and KU's home winning streaks is 58 games. Just sayin'.
Don Matuszak, a K-State point guard on the ’58 team, remembers returning to campus and being met by a crowd of students at Ahearn Field House. He was shocked to see the young women, who were apparently willing to break the rules to show their appreciation.“Back then,” Matuszak said, “there was a curfew for the women.”
