I like Dax's meltdowns because you can tell he doesn't know anything about the game of basketball.  zacker is more knowledgeable about the game.

zacker's meltdowns are hilarious. dax's general stupidity about basketball has more of a mellow, pleasing effect that is a constant throughout the season.

Both are part of what makes goEMAW the place to be during bballkatz season.

Fantastic thread. Good to see goEMAW in midseason form even if Frank's crew wasn't. Just really done.

there's really nothing quite like getting home, curling up on the couch with a beverage, and catching up on a november cats game featuring commentary by 'zacker

We may do o.k. if we don't meet Duke in the first round.

Oh man.  Zacker's meltdown machine blew the fuse once Frank got our boys going in the second half.  Sure dax stuck around, but Fatty rode in on his white horse of justice and swept away all the butthurt.

Good thread.  I give it  :star: :star: :raccoon:.  Sure the plot is strong and the high's were high, but it peaked a little early, lost staying power and the sequels may hit double digits before the season is over.

Pullen was rough ridin' horrible early in the season last year so I'm not sure what your point is.

We're always rough ridin' horrible in November, and end up pretty good. That's the point.

That depends on what your definition of "pretty good" is.  We've only gotten past the round of 32 once in Frank's four years.

And it was glorious. And Frank has yet to finish outside the top third of the Big 12. That's "pretty good."

yes this team isn't good right now.  and like kougs said frank's teams never are this time of year. the thing that worries me is that this year, unlike in year's past, we have no one on the team to provide any leadership and we have no #1 scoring option.

jamar, on his best day, isn't a go to player.  i guess it will be interesting to see how this team develops and comes together.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Top 32 out of 300+ is definitely "pretty good."  Having the same amount of tourney wins as KU over the last 2 years is also "pretty good."

Yeah, I don't disagree at this point. I'm skeptical McG and/or Assassino Bianco can fulfill the leadership role. I do think they can combine for the go-to scorer role though, by conference play.

And I still think we'll have the ability to play fantastic defense throughout the year.
