the potential is there, but let's not judge just yet. I mean, we're playing Ft. Hays State. Just saying.

but so far, love how the freshman are playing. Especially Angel and Gibson

FTB is back?   :dunno:

Gibson is a big man that knows how to use his size, that I know for sure. Very excited to watch him play this year

No it's not.  Naadir Tharpe and Ben McLemore are better than anyone in K-State's class.

And how many minutes a game is McLemore going to get? :dunno:

Not only that, but its a really dumb way to assess the overall quality of a freshman class.  So the UT class of Durant and the KSU class Beasley was better than the fab five?

None until next year.  He's basically Dominique Sutton eligibility-wise.

I watched KU practice the other day and Naadir Tharpe looked like the worst player on the court. He's so tiny. At first I thought he was one of the managers that help with drills and stuff.

Sutton was ineligible until 2nd semester.  McLemore will start practing 2nd semester, but he'll redshirt this season.  Maybe a better comparison would have been Jamar Samuels.

Jamar has been great for us, so that would be good news for KU.

I have no idea if KU's freshman are good at basketball or not.  Guess no one will, until next year.  Right?

a better comparison would be tony mitchell, who was a nq and not allowed to accept financial aid at a big 12 institution.  sutton/samuels are poor comparos because they simply arrived to campus late, working on qualifying at prep schools.  but when they arrived, it was as full qualifiers.

it would be interesting to know why the faculty appeal committee allowed mclemore and the fl big to accept aid, but not play, their first years, while mitchell and anderson were denied.  but naturally the area sports "journalists" are too lazy and/or stupid to report on stories like that.

yeah, you could see him lose the grip on the ball and kind of shot put it with the base of his hand.  pretty hilarious.  announcers then went on to talk about his amazing touch.

Beas used to do this exact thing(shooting with whatevs part of his arm happened to be touching the ball).  Not comparing the two, just invoked a mem on Sat.

I like Gip.
