I understand what you're saying re: hd and in addition the technology really isn't proven yet, not worth the risk.  I was the same way when color tvs came out, thought the B&W looked fine, didn't really see the need for color, still don't.  And this whole obsession with cable and the internet is really ridiculous.  Why pay for that when you can just wait a day and read about it in the newspaper, which they drop off at your driveway.  Plus I'd like to see those jokers line their bird cage with old cable programming!  Hey kids, grab the old internet news and some glue so we can make paper mache masks for halloween, pfft yeah right.  MAYBE when color tv proves itself, and hd does the same, MAYBE then I'll look into it.

i realize it's tough for most of you guys to not be complete dumbasses 24/7 so here's the deal... my point is that a game on a fifty inch in sd is not that much different from a game on a fifty inch in hd. at the end of the day, your dumbass is still watching the game in the same place on the same tv with the same surroundings. i mean would hd be better than non hd? sure, but that's not the argument. a hundred dollars is also better than ninety nine dollars and the hd boner crowd is bonering out over that extra dollar. it's just a dollar guys. put your boners back in your pants. you're embarassing.

if i'm going to watch a game i'm going to watch it. and i'm going to watch it the same exact way on the same exact tv(s) with the same exact people eating the same exact food and drinking the same exact drinks. the final outcome of the game will be exactly the same and i will have the exact same feelings about that outcome regardless of whether the game is being televised in hd or not. the whole "hd boner crowd" reminds me a lot of the "i love bud light but i hate coors light crowd". i dunno. they just seem not as intelligent or something. there's probably a thesis or something there for someone i'm guessing. i tell you what though, you hdboners let it hang all you want and i'll just go back to silently judging you. deal?

Sorry Mr. Daris, love you work, but HD makes the watching experience better than standard definition, because you almost feel like you are there.  It's a senses thing.  Like watching a Katz game with surround sound is better than just plain sound coming out of your tv.  Sensory stimulation, makes for a better experience.
