MU better be careful, there is no coach more Wooly in this league right now than McDermott, and this is the classic Wooly "sorta hopeful positive finish" game.

Just look at the McDermott/Wooly comparison through 4 seasons:

McNeck:
2006–2007 Iowa State 15-16 6-10 T-7th
2007–2008 Iowa State 14-18 4-12 11th
2008–2009 Iowa State 15-17 4-12 10th
2009–2010 Iowa State 14-15 3-11

Wooly:
2000–2001 Kansas State 11-18 4-12 10th
2001–2002 Kansas State 13-16 6-10 7th
2002–2003 Kansas State 13-17 4-12 11th
2003–2004 Kansas State 14-14 6-10 9th

Even better, ISU has seven Big 12 losses by 7 points or less this year, and if that's not Wooly, I don't know what is. Including classic Wooly "close" losses like our win against them in Ames; the "last couple minute hit shots and make a blow-out look close" finish.

In general, I've been expecting the tigers to lose one of these games several times throughout the season. They always seem to respond well, though. Here's hoping...
