I thought EMAPE played well.
Sign worthy? Would enjoy explaining what EMAPE meant to the tucks in front of us.

Yes. I'd like to get it stitched into whichever flag is his.
Mrs. Gooch might be able the do this. She is all into sewing and crap now.

Angel showed why he was so coveted. Hit 3-3ptrs, and ended up leading scorer for the scrimmage. He looked very comfortable and confident, and showed to be a true PG. Will is going to have a big year IMO. He's so also so confident and comfortable right now. You just think everything he shoots is going in. Jones is a very quick player, but still looks like he's adjusting, and I would expect to see him off the bench. Martavious is just the odd man out unfortunately. Should get minutes, and give solid contribution when he's in the game, but has others that are just better overall.

McGruder was kind of average today, but average for him is career game for others. Nino had some nice finishes at the bucket, didn't see him as much. Southwell is also playing with a lot more confidence. He could easily play some minutes at the PG, but was putting the ball to floor and creating. Had some nice passes also.

JO looks quite a bit thicker. He's going to challenge everything on the defensive end. Could make a run at setting a new shot-block record for a season. Jamar wore a long sleeve shirt the entire scrimmage, but you can tell he's stronger. Finished on shot taking it to the rim against 3 defenders and got the and one. Also had a couple blocks and was rebounding. Gipson is just a beast. Already very good on the offensive end. Backs his man down and then uses a baby hook with either hand. He should see a lot of minutes as a frosh. And Diaz looked very good also. Thin like JO was his frosh year, but more athletic, better hands and touch shooting the ball. Had a nice fast-break basket where he was thrown a pretty hard pass, caught it and finished. Had the only dunk of the game. And really did a decent job on the defensive end.

Even our two walk-ons played very well. Probably won't see a lot of minutes this year, but could be playing and even start for mid-major and D2 schools.

Wished Watson would have been cleared to play, as he's the only one we didn't see today.

IMO, this team is much better than a #6 pre-season finish. No reason they can't challenge for the title if they keep working hard and mesh together well as a team, because IMO, the talent is there.

nice report. thanks everyone.

I was impressed with Diaz and Gipson.  Diaz had a nice o-board and then putback.  Gipson backed down and scored over JO once or twice.

Agree with SYS blurb about Sprads, he seemed much more aggressive in seeking his own shot.

Is Sprad's first step pull back cross over going to result in shots now?  Would we want it to?

I watched it on kstateo.tv.  Not sure if they'll put the replay up.  Everyone looked good.  Gipson seemed to get winded quick.

Edit to spell gipson's name right.  Remember, big GIP fan

the replay is up on HD.tv.  Gotta say, pretty excited about the 3 freshmen.

Trim didn't watch the f-ball game live?  Weird.  Guess what man of taste and distinction?  You just lost your right to say a single negative thing about the program.  Douche.  old lady douche.

Why is this clown still allowed to post on this board?  Not only is he a tuck, but he's one of the only regular posters on this board who didn't contribute any donations to Trim's fundraiser.  What a piece of crap.

Just noticed we have a word filter set up that changes "fa***t" to "man of taste and distinction".

K-State will try to build off that effort today, when it heads to Omaha, Neb., to take on Marquette in a pregame scrimmage at Qwest Center.

Anyone hear anything from the scrimmage today?

From yesterday: Old man went up to the front row behind the bench, and yelled at Frank Martin "We are glad to have you, and you can stay the rest of your life if you want to!"

Frank said "That's the plan!"

The bball team could probably do the exact same thing this year and over achieve to a S16 or something and it would probably be similar.

I did notice during pre-scrimmage stretching Jamar was favoring his right knee quite a bit... But he seemed to move fairly well during the scrimmage.

Uh, there is no lowercase "L" in the phrase "assassino bianco."
