Roberson 2003 first 7 games (not counting the two he missed): run 117-551 yds-10 TD, pass: 76-146 (52%) 1313 yds, 7 INT, 13 TD - 5-2 record

(not counting the two he missed) means I threw out umass and marshall-LOSS and counted the first 7 games he played in.

Jesus rough ridin' Christ, Klein has better rushing numbers because he doesn't share the backfield with one of the best running backs in the history of the conference. How in the holy hell did this abortion of a thread make it this far without someone pointing this out?
settle down towel rack....Klein avg per rush = 4.44 Roberson = 4.7. Really having a great running back should skew the numbers more in favor of Roberson...more respect for play action/play fake, less keying on the qb run, etc. I think not having a great running back hurts Klein, but his numbers are still very respectable compared to Ell.

Having a great running back taking away carries from Ell helps him? Why don't you compare the number of carries Sproles had to that of Hubert. If Ell ran this offense with Hubert next to him his numbers would be filthy. So just so I get this right the stats comparison was done to show that Klein has the better numbers despite that Ell if with the same number of carries would have more yards and touchdowns in addition to having more passing yards and more touchdown passes. Makes plenty of sense. Some of you same people are claiming that the '11 team has better receivers yet Ell had more yards and TD passes. Do some of you realize what you are actually saying?
Sproles - rushing: 123 - 746yds 5TD, receiving: 8 - 107yds 1TD <-- First seven games w/Ell
Hubert - rushing: 122 - 647yds 2TD, receiving: 11 - 93yds 1TD
Never said Klein was better than Ell. Claimed it was about even and I would not pick Ell over Klein.
A lot more passing yards + more INTs + lower completion pct (Ell) vs better runner with higher completion rate and lower turnovers (Klein).
