I feel pretty bad for Turner.  Seems like a good guy, but he is in over his head.  Pretty bad stretch of football for the Hawks.

But not for us  ;)

Salary aside, I feel bad for him. He's become a punching bag for anything wrong with KU and he just looks so humbled on his show. Poor Turner

Watched the show on the 'Canes on ESPN's 30 in 30 series, and they showed a couple of national championship games with Gill leading the Nubbs against Miami.   A pretty awesome athlete.

this is only Turner's 2nd year.  many say that the 2nd coaching year is the toughest to endure.  things will get better on Mount Oread.  the pieces are in place for that team to succeed.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Firing Gill is reaching fever pitch momentum in Lawrence.  It's going to happen.

they need to stick it out with him. firing him and bringing in someone new wont have them winning next year. they let mangino keep his job through some bad seasons, and looko what happened.
even snyder went what, 1-10 or 1-11 then 3-9 right?

Inside source tells me that the players would cry if he was fired.

but not cry after getting completely waxed by their rivals two years in a row?
Gill may know alot about football, but not a lot about bringing the right culture and mindset to a team

True, but even those very few wins were a much needed improvement. Those few wins gave them hope.

Although i do suppose the culture at KSU when the legend took over was alot different than the general culture at KU.
KU expects to win at everything for some reason, where as we were just looking for our first win in 3 years.

Would hire Gill as recruiting coordinator, as long as we can explain to him about recruiting positions other than RB and QB.  (Or if Bill can talk some of those badass QBs and RBs into playing defense.)

I feel bad for the people who are involved with the production of that show.  I mean, the cameraman and the sound guy has to be either falling asleep or trying hard not to laugh his ass off.  Then someone has to edit all that crap together.  It seems like doing that show is some sort of punishment.

OB's show always feels like some sort of torture as well.  You just know Bill would rather be in his office.

Gill spoke briefly in generalities, Chuck Long gave the meat of the presentation on K-State's players and philosophy.  The best part was how LHCBS recruits juco players and provides them with simple schemes to operate in.  The simple schemes have their vulnerabilities, but coaching player discipline to play their lanes and carry out their assignments (blocking, coverage, etc.) largely offsets the simplistic schemes.  I wish I had a recording.
