don't they still owe him 6 million?

(same thing I said after KU beat Prince's brain in.  KU shouldn't have run up the score and kept him close.)

He's only been able to recruit (you guys have excellent recruiters if I remember you stating that at one time) a couple of years for this team and he needs several more so he can place players to play his style of game.  Mangino's guys are almost certainly sabotaging his game planning.  NEEDS MORE TIME.
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Wow, if KU fires Gill after only 2 years, wow.   :opcat: :opcat: :opcat: :opcat:

if ku fans and mu fans totally had their way, both mangino and pinkel would've been fired after two years. firing either would be/would have been stupid. fire gill if you want, but way too early to decide on him.

can you imagine if mizzou would have fired pinkel after 2 years?  never would have went to the dr pepper game.  same can be said for gill.  fire him, and no dr pepper game.

Can you imagine how far at the bottom of the barrel they would have to scrape for their next coach if they only give turner 2 years

Is there a precedent for this?  Has any school ever fired a coach after only two years (other than coaches who have had off the field issues (Mike Price) or lied on their resume (George O'Leary))?

Gill's first season:  KSU 59   KU 7
Gill's 2nd season:  KSU 69, KU 21

Improvement.  Gill isn't going anywhere.
