He was named to the Army A.A team, wonder if we could sway him to stay in state rather and blow off T.C.U..... maybe a confrence championship would help.  :crossfingers:

Doubt it.  He's originally from Tejas, Dallas area I believe.  Just moved to Mac this year.

I don't know where he's originally from, but he didn't just move to Mac this year.  He played there last year, and played at Goddard before that.

I must have gotten some bad info.  Was just talking about this with my brothers this weekend.  Couldn't figure why he would want to go to TCU over staying in state.  Kid does throw a damn nice ball.

I actually have met the kid. Class act, but ain't no way we sway him from TCU's air raid to Snyderball.

TCU was in a BCS bowl last year.  Pretty good reason to choose them over us.  :dunno:

KU sucks at football...he's not going their. We haven't had a passing game since Freemaw left...so it's pretty easy to see why he's leaving the state.

Yeah I know it's the same reason we lost Kennard, but I think HCBS is ready to "open the playbook" even more if we could find a decent throwing dual threat QB..... It's scary to imagine what he could do with a C. Newton or RGIII.

Not a great fit for Snyder's offense IMO.

Not a fan of his father moving him from Goddard to Mac.  I have no Goddard ties at all, but that's a punk move IMHO.

Moved him from a school with a down football program that traditionally runs a flexbone to a school with a wide open spread system and talented receivers where he could showcase his ability?

Isn't Derby's old coach at Mactown now?  Dude never ran a spread at Derby.  If the kid really wanted to air the ball out, he would have transferred to Heights.

yeah.  Tom Young is here in Mac.  Threw the ball quite a bit at Derby when he was there, but nothing like he does now.  Mac's been airing it out since he got here.

Heights doesn't throw the ball at all, literally at all. They've completed 12 passes in 6 games.  They didn't throw the ball last year either.

Thought it was Heights QB that was shattering all the city league passing records?  WTF am I thinking about?

The move was about the fact that Goddard sucks and Mac doesn't it has nothing to do with what Goddard runs, they obviously would have let Matthews throw the ball.  Yes I have a problem with high schoolers transferring from schools because they aren't good.  Goddard would have competed well in the AVCTL division 2 and their shitty district if he would have stayed.  The Brown Brothers stayed at East and they sucked, it didn't hurt their profile at all.  I understand that many don't have an issue with the transfer but in my opinion its punking out.

Zeke Palmer at BC and Desmond McGee at East are both near 1000 yards, I have no idea how that close is to any city league record though.

Dunno.  Seems like I just read something about passing records.  Maybe it was a smaller class local school.   :dunno:

Agreed.  Really cool to see Elite 11 QB's from Kansas, though.  I like it when our kids get credit for being good and not be automatically dismissed because they're not from Texas, California, Florida, etc.

I'd prefer that they be automatically dismissed. DITR, ya know?

Heights had a great QB a while back (think his name was Casel, I think.  Kameron Casel or some crap?  Idk, I think he played college baseball), but they've been running the flexbone for a while now.

Blake Bell broke all of the city league records a couple years ago, I think.  idk who else you might be talking about  :dunno:
