Yeah, like, sometimes I'll go pop in my There Will Be Blood Blu-Ray and watch the final scene. Maybe I've got 20 minutes to kill and am in the mood to see it.

I only buy certain movies on blu-ray. Seems kinda silly to pay extra for the blu-ray version of The Hangover or whatever.

Blu-ray is almost always an improvement over the DVD version.

Came late to this thread but very much on board with this. I used to love buying DVD's until I realized how rough ridin' stupid it was and how many times I actually went back and re-watched a movie. (which minus holiday movies it's pretty much nil unless it's on cable)

Also don't get people who have Blockbuster/Netflix memberships just so they can burn the DVD's and add them to their collection.

Big screens need big resolution. (and the color benefits)

Concert blu-rays are pretty cool. I've listened to most of mine quite a few times.
