It was an incredibly classy show with a strong female lead.  Real role model.  Stephanie Zimbalist as Laura holt?  Groundbreaking.    Your fears are unfounded.

Oddly Laura is a very trashy name.  I think they wanted to set up some cognitive dissonance in their viewership.  Really next level televisioning.  I mean here she is the brains of the outfit, the alpha and here comes Pierce this mindless bimbo, walking sex in a bottle.  Who do you respect?  It's going to make you think and guess what your conclusions might just be wrong.
