Best tailor in Manhattan?
« on: October 05, 2011, 11:00:27 PM »
I'm attempting to step my wardrobe game up, and I'm in need of an amazing tailor that knows what in the hell he/she is doing.  Preferably I'd like it to be someone of European descent that doesn't speak very good english, but I'll take what I can get here in the flint hills.

Most of the stuff I've been picking out is from the UK (Paul Smith etc) and isn't available around here so it will most likely have to be altered along with a lot of what I have now.

Edit:  Would also like to know if anybody has had some custom shirts made?  I'm pretty sure Borck Brothers does it but I've never tried it.

Bonnie Kim?
yeah I've gone to her before. You definitely need to be specific with her as to what you want done though because I've take stuff there before and she kept making other adjustments and the price tripled.

Would you recommend her?  If I don't get any other suggestions I'll try her out.

She isn't cheap, but does good work fast. She did a suit for me in 2 days after another tailor mumped it up.  Also she lives in a hoarder trailer. I would recommend her.

I preferred to think of her as MY secret underground tailor. Thanks for ruining that everyone.
