top regular season BCS conference game winning streak is 13 games by Oregon.  Think about how much they are dominating the Pac-12.

Snyder won 21 straight regular season conference games between '97 and '99.  That is nearly another full year of conference games for Oregon to match that.

Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

The BigXII sucked as bad in the late 90s as the PacXII sucks now.

sorry but that is painfully idiotic.  Was the conference that great then?  No, but it was a BCS conference and regardless of whether it was extremely strong or a little off it's harder than hell to walk through any BCS conference at any time with that kind of a streak.

That's just not true. Nebraska and Colorado were much better than any team in the Pac 12 that Oregon has to face. We only beat Nebraska once in that stretch, though.

It is about as hard for Oregon as it was for KSU in the late 90s.  How is that idiotic?

We just beat the 15th ranked team and have 3 more top ten teams on our schedule this year.  How many does Oregon play this year?  How many top 10 teams did we beat in 97-99?  One?

Why is this so hard for so many?

1996-2003 Big 12 North:  Multiple Conference Titles, A national title, played for another national title, multiple Big 12 North teams in the final polls.

2004-Present Big 12 North:  Zero Conference Titles, Zero National Titles.

The 21 game "regular" season conference win streak was conveniently bookended by our 1997 conference opener against Nebraska and our 2nd to last conference game in 1999 against...Nebraska.  In the middle, we beat Nebraska one time and we knocked off Colorado teams that finished.5-6, 8-4, and 7-5.

Yeah, OU sucked in 2000 . . . Texas 50-15 between 1999-2003.   You guys =     How many times do we have to go through the Big 12 North during that time period before you finally get it?

And OU beat us twice in 2000 and again in 2001.  We lost 2 of 3 to Texas between 1999-2003.  What's your point?

Yeah.  The Big XII was dam good.  We won 21 regular season conference games in a row and the highest ranked team we faced was 16th.

Would kill a hobo for that type of schedule now.
