he was carrying out a play fake.. it's harder to adjust and make a block if you really try and sell the fake. i saw a similar whiff by an nfl rb last week. but granted, it would have been nice if he could have gotten even a hand on him.

He's coached to break off the fake to protect the QB if necessary, just shows he's not paying attention, not a good excuse.

That's because short guys have little value unless they are fast. It doesn't mean they're correlated. Granted, if a short person is playing college football or NFL, it's probably because they offer speed. Hubert has other skills to offer.

No that was a flat out terrible whif. You don't carry out the play fake anymore when you have to pick someone up. Thus why he came out right afterwards.

They do need to just give him the ball. Can you imagine him in that zone read or the sweep around the corner?

great argument.  bryce got in, totally whiffed on a block and we did nothing when he was in (granted we didn't give him the ball).  i still want bryce to be in and was pisssed he wasn't playing in the first half.  my guess is he's not playing because he doesn't care about blocking, and we need that from every position.  i mean brod and harp came all the way back here just to block, totally emaw.  bryce hasn't shown any emaw.  still want him to play.  just my jmo
