He's talking about the last two GameDays in Manhattan.

The OU one was at 2:30 I believe.

Wait, memzy is failing me right now.  Have we hosted 2 GameDays in Manhattan or 3? I know we had one at KSU/OU Big 12 Championship in 2000, as well as one in Austin in 2003.
November 14, 1998: #11 Nebraska at #1 Kansas State
October 14, 2000: #8 Oklahoma at #3 Kansas State
September 29, 2001: #9 Kansas State at #3 Oklahoma
October 4, 2004: #16 Kansas State at #13 Texas (This was the first GameDay at which Washington State fans flew a school flag, a tradition that has continued ever since.)

Mangino had a schedule/stars aligned season that lead them to Lew buying them into an Orange Bowl.  Why not us?  Why not Currie?

Our season might be stars aligned, but it's definitely not schedule aligned. If we somehow finish with only one loss, we would be more deserving of an at large BCS bid than any other team out there.

I think our schedule is aligned pretty well.  Oklahoma in Manhattan is a helluva lot more manageable than Oklahoma in Norman and we get A&M at home.  We have a brutal four week span with OU, @OK State, A&M and @Texas but at least it's toward the end of the season.  Much better to have a backloaded schedule.  Plus, no Nebraska.  I feel like this year we are better than them but it's hard to be confident about a series that lopsided.

I don't know, if we go 0-4 against those teams all we will hear going into bowl season is "KSU has lost 4 out of their last 5" and they will make us out to be some shitty team.

I'm a lot more confident about at least breaking even in that four game stretch because we play them towards the end of the season.  Snyder's teams steadily improve and by the end of the season they are much better than at the start.  Also means more film for our coaching staff to study on the opponents.  That's an advantage for K-State because those teams run much more complex offenses than we do, so while they get more film also it doesn't really matter because our offensive playbook has about eight plays.  Plus, even if we do lose all four it's better to lose them towards the end of the season.  Know how sometimes losses can snowball and destroy a team's confidence and cause them to not care anymore?  We already have a lot of early season wins locked up so Iowa State is the only game where we could crap the bed if there is an absolute worst case scenario.
