4 Seasons at South Carolina

3 Seasons at Mississippi State

and was a grad ass't at Tennessee prior to that.

Before joining the VT staff.

So, he coached for several yrs at BCS schools, and is now the associate HC at a BCS school? Oh, he was also a long snapper at Va Tech. Yep, that is an entirely different resume than Sean's Dax, justl ike totally different. Oh, and he's rumored to be the HCIW. Man, can he get any more different than Sean?! Dude was a long snapper!

I've said it before and I'll say it again jt, if Sean goes off and coaches somewhere else and proves himself outside of daddy's little bubble, then he certainly is a viable candidate to replace daddy. But he's NEVER left Daddy's little bubble at K-State.

Shane Beemer has spent 7 seasons AWAY from daddy's bubble coaching at SEC schools. Only a hyper Snyder apologist like you can't see the difference.

Don't know that I'd be thrilled with handing the reigns over to the younger Beamer if I was a VT fan, but yea, at least he's been somewhere else. Seany has done absolutely nothing at any place not KStateo. Take off the blinders and pretend his last name isn't Snyder and look at his resume. Prince's resume looked like a Texas/Florida candidate compared to Seany boy's.

Oh, and I am not saying that it's good that Beamer hired his kid necessarily, but at least he's coached elsewhere at BCS schools.

I don't want Sean as our next HC, I just don't have an issue with him coaching special teams. I am merely pointing out that lots of coaches hire their sons/brothers/dads/etc.

Another observation about college football: Head coaches get fired for sucking. All over the place.

2 yrs ago we were 1 win away from playing in the CCG, last year we went to a bowl. Not great seasons but certainly not terrible. If you really thing Snyder sucks, well, you're an idiot.

The point isn't that Snyder should be fired today (though he should) the point is that he never should have been re-hired because there is no viable exit strategy once you let him back in.
