Will Chingon and Pike be wearing the clownsuits all day, or just for pictures?

Yes, confirmed.

66-24? Holy shat. Barkley was right. Turner Gil should've got Auburn job. Far better than Chizik.

It's also a pretty good time to check out the Nebraska tucks still trying to defend Gill.

Quote from: from 1st quarter
Wonder where all the chickenhawk fans wanting Turner out of town last year are now.

Quote from: after game
Offense was fine until the defense melted down and the play calling got predictable.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

Did they even open a playbook?  Looked like they just drew up some plays in the dirt during huddles.

Very easy to hate right now.  If you don't like GIll and what he is trying to put together then you don't see the big picture.  Yep, the defense is absolutely horrible and should be held accountable...the offense looks much better than last year and is moving in the right direction. Gill is a stand up guy...he recruits very well...and has some things to learn, but is going to be a very, very good head coach.  Again, I love Kansas Athletics, but we can't expect to get proven coaches when we have a vacancy.  We get guys that need to learn and hope to hang onto them...we have one in Gill and I hope we hang onto him.

However...the "I told you so" guys will always be there and offer not much more to the program.

Ku's signature win really showed up today as well.

Wisconsin 49
Northern Illinois 7

"Wisconsin rings up over 600 yards of offense to pummel Northern Illinois"

He must not have seen Chizik's Iowa State teams.  And he must not have noticed the 624 yards that Chizik's defense gave up to Clemson today.

It's really hard to buy new players when the NCAA is breathing down your neck.

I saw a ton of progress in Gill's 6-8 year program.

Haters didn't though.

Still need help picking the best chance ku has to win the rest of the year, still leaning towards that being the Cats.

If I had to pick a win, I would probably go with Texas Tech. It's a home game against a mediocre team following a huge loss. KU will probably lose, but I think they have a halfway decent chance of pulling the upset.

7 passes, 768 total yds, 606 rushing yds, etc.  Man, the numbers from this game are just incredible.

600+ rushing yards has to be some kind of record in and of itself

Watched a bit of the ku game.  Both GaTech and KU are horrible.  KU has the smallest and slowest defense I've ever seen in my life.

The worst part of that debacle was our D-coordinator's take on the problems we had on defense.  It was pretty much like......"yeah, they schemed us.  We knew what they were doing and just didn't make any adjustments to fix it.  We thought that if we adjusted we would open up a pandora's box of other problems so we just stuck with the plan."

Um, lolwut?  As if "pandora's box of other problems" would have been worse than what we ran out there in the second half.  Geez, that game blew nuts.
