booing
« on: September 16, 2011, 10:16:24 AM »
It was sad to hear booing of fans at the 'cats during the first game.   :bang:
The players are 19-24 year old kids who are doing their best.
The coaches work year-round for these few weekends every year.
KSU is NOT the Chiefs.  If the drunks in KC want to boo - let them.
This is K-State.  Not Pro.   If you don't have anything good to say, be silent.
If possible, I would be a bouncer  :comehere:  and escort out of the stadium anyone who can't
support OUR team.
PLEASE, NO BOOING at our own family.
Thank you.

If it were up to me, Wintz would be on a fan scholarship, full ride.

I'll just put it this way.  For those of you that think it's cool to boo just because you paid for a ticket only proves one thing, YOU HAVE ZERO CLASS, and are probably disrespectful towards many other things in life, whenever you don't get your way.  Just remember you are representing Kansas State too.  At least try to think before you act like an idiot.  I'd also  question how many of those fans actually went to K-State.  These young men bust their busts for you.  They are amateurs.  Remember that before tearing them down for your own pleasure of being negative.

IMO the ONLY time a fan should boo is if there is an obvious blown call by a zebra.  Otherwise, fans should be yelling in a positive manner to support their team.  Those that can't at least abide by that ought wear T-Shirts that say:  Beware I'm an official Dick.

It all boils down to this......if you boo our team you are not a real fan.
You can cus, scream, but booing is disrespectful. I can't even imagine
ever booing the CATS.

i boo all the time.   face it, if you suck then you deserve to know it.  how else can i tell them that unless i boo my ass off.
there are no second place trophs on the troph shelf, 2nd place is for losers.

think i want to boo?  no. because i went to school during the real DoD, not the one that happened when Ell was here.  i'm talking about when the team used to school other teams.

you won't be able to  make me not boo either because i will seriously kick your ass.

If you can't get behind booing, you need to take a deep look at yourself and figure out why you can't care enough to offer our athletes, band, orproffessors the encouragement needed to become better at what they do.  Look, kids are dumb and may think what they are doing is right and good if you don't boo them.

Let's just say that your oppressive antibooing campaign is successful and we don't win an NC, then its on you and your kind. Noracist.

I will tell u what. I am already sick and tired of all the complaining, the booing, and whatever other negative sht that is going on. Do you idiots actually believe the coaches or the players want to play/coach a game that gives u so called fans a chance to boo, or bitch on this message board!! Sure there were mistakes made by coaches and players but wow mistakes r going to happen, hell i made 3 last night at my job! I have a feeling the season will move along we will win some and lose some, but in the end we will all still do whatever it is we do, coaches and players alike. I just hope kansas state football will satisfy all u idiots this year, never mind how the coaches/players might be feeling, because they don't really mater in the whole scheme of things right. The only reason they r here id to satisfy YOU!!!!! Sorry ill stop rambling. Go State EMAW 38-10

you know what, _33?  i'd rather hear people boo then to see 1 more guy be the guy that stands up, turns around and looks at people, and does the "wave the arms to pump up the crowd" thing.  dude, we understand that it's a big 3rd down and 4, we don't need you to help energize us.

What's even more damaging to the university is we have recruits who visit Manhattan.  Ask yourself boo-birds who would ever want to play for you?  Then in the end, since we don't get high enough caliber players you boo the players we have.  rolleyes And yes we have visitors at practically every home game we have.  The Kent State game is no exception.

I heard some boos during our scoring drive when one of the EKU players was injured.  It slowed the momentum of the drive but it was unacceptable to boo an injured player whether it's real or not.  That's so Husker to do so.

The other thing people don't consider is perception.  We are on the verge of possibly changing conferences.  TV sets have eyes, and parents and recruits from other areas make judgments by first impressions.  Ask yourselves do you think your stupidity helps the university?

I'm all for booing.  These guys have been coddled all their lives being told they're the fricking man.  The booing serves as a wakeup call.

BTW, "these guys" also refers to anyone on the sidelines with the last name Snyder.

Yes.

I don't understand the mentality that going to a particular school makes you "more of a fan", or gives your fandom more credence, than say a guy or gal that has grown up in a house hold that has gone to nearly every home and several road games since they can remember. Later on down the road they decided they wanted to be a Dr. or Esq and was accepted to an Ivy League school. They grew up with the Cats. Never went to school at KSU.. Their diploma says Harvard. Their license plate trim says GO WILDCATS.

My wife went to school at FSU for a couple years before transferring to UF. Without a doubt, she HATES FSU.She's a Gator, through and through. I have a cousin that is a Ret. Air Force Col., who now works in the Pentagon. Graduate of MIT. He went to K State for one year. He claims K State as "his school." To each their own.

Once you don the purple and stand shoulder to shoulder, cheering for the Cats, the camera will not blur the ones that are not grads, in a sea of purple. Their screams will be no less deafening, to the opposing team, and their cheers no less motivating.

On that note, if you're in Purple and White you NEVER boo your team.
