Quote from: CNS Casey on September 14, 2011, 02:03:25 PMConsider this: perhaps we are who we are raised to be not necessarily just who we are born to be. If this is the case, you possibly will create the same kid, through parenting, regardless if the kid is born to you or adopted. "If you ruin this for me CNS Casey, I'm gonna shoot you in the mouf!"

I have experience dealing with people that have some experience with the adoption process. They are never trust worthy.
Do you want to adopt at birth or adopt foster kids? Completely different process.

The other thing you have to think about is that a lot of the times their parents (or a close family member) is trying to get their kids back, even if their rights have been terminated. It takes a lot of patience, and things often fall through. Also, the SRS can be really disorganized and difficult to work with.

At birth, fine. A few years old, okay. Whichever.
I have some experience with the adoption process and have done academic research in the field. PM if you have any questions. The terrain can be difficult to negotiate but also well worth it.
