Brand New Amazing Astro Turf Yard
« on: September 13, 2011, 11:41:22 AM »
I now have one.  It's amazing.  I can take Junior out back and have BP and then he can practice fielding the ball off the same stuff he hopes to one day play on at K-State.  Also, no cutting the grass!

Not bad. Do you need any copper wire to go with it?
Where did you get that overnight bag?

If you need any baseballs for Junior to use, I have 6 of 'em I'll sell ya. They're used and they've been scribbled on (stuff like "Mickey," "Joe," "Whitey," "Yogi," etc.), but they still work great.

Got em from a former football player. Said he found them at his friend Whitney's parents house when she was throwing a party.

Ohhh, was thinking about doing this. I have a pretty big yard though  :kstategrad: Was it expensive?

A little worried about what Dog Stupid Fitz doodies would be like. I assume you just pick them up like normal and hose off if needed.

No, not expensive at all.  More labor intensive than anything.

Just had a sprinkler system put in this year. Should have waited.  :curse:

Transportation and timing arrangements were the most difficult part of acquisition.

Pfft. Nobody ever says "I wanna play twister on your fake grass".
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

I hear the KSU Athletic Department is missing some Astro Turf, do you have some left over you could give back to them?

Wha?! Just wondering if you had extra for our KSU 'Cats?  Maybe the corners where you cut it to fit around your house?  Every little bit helps...
