Cycling is like marijuana cigarettes, it's very addictive.

I have put over 80 miles on my new bike this week.  It's pretty convenient living near Indian Creek trail.

I think I am going to do the MS ride in September.

The real question is how many marijuana cigarettes have you smoked this week?

Zero   But, I have lost quite a bit of weight.  Pros and cons, I guess.

That's awesome. I've been going in reverse on cardio. Hitting the weights four days a week. Need to find some balance.

I did 10 mile and 20 mile rides yesterday, and an exhausting 16 mile ride today at break neck pace with a friend of mine who is a 4 time Ironman participant.  Jesus, he whipped my rough ridin' ass....I have a lot of room to improve.

I need to hit the weights for my lower back, just thinking about the pounding it's going to take on a 100mi ride is bringing a tear to my eye

those are some nice rides.  also good move on going out with an IM rider, you can learn a ton from those guys.

the guy I've been riding with is doing another one next month and I have agreed to do a 100mi with him and his buddy next Saturday.

I'm pretty sure the last 20 miles I will be stuck on his wheel drafting and just hoping I survive somehow.

TdF fellas!  Been crazy already.

Who are you rooting for?  I'm a Quintana fan, but obviously would love to see Tejay on the podium.

obvs Tejay but my top 2 others would be Pinot & Quintana.  Unfortunately the got caught in the crosswind induced split on stage 2 and fell behind already.  Don't spoiler today's results for me, I hear it was more insane than yesterday and I will catch up this evening.

I've started riding too.  had some knee problems running.  I'm on the farthest south edge of Indian creek and when I ride north on the trail it ends in a neighborhood around 119th street.  Where does it go from there?

The bike trail in KC?  Google maps has it ending by 109th  and Blue River Rd by I435.

That was insane.  I like the Katusha rider who rolls and gets right back to his feet.

Hated to see Spartacus have to lose the yellow that way.  He is a stud.

Do you mean you live on the East end in Leawood (mile marker 0), or you live on the West end in Olathe (mile marker 17)?

On the East end, in Leawood, at about mile marketer 0.5 it connects to the Tomahawk trail that runs south along Mission down south of 119th.  Tomahawk is 7 miles round trip, IIRC.

On the western side, at about mile marker 13.5, it connects to Eastbrook or something like that, and that is only about 3 miles long.  The far West end of Indian Creek goes past that Nazarene college and ends at a school.

I am roughly 2 blocks away from mile marker 4.5, in Overland Park.

I can ride East to the end of Indian Creek and take Tomahawk and back home and get around 15 or 16 miles, depending on a few things.

I can ride West and stay on Indian Creek and get a 24 mile ride, there and back.

I'm west and ride to the end and then north and east.  I think I saw where I got off the main path.

*Spoiler alert - AST don't read further if you are waiting to watch stage 10 later*

Froomey did some damage today.  Only mountain stage 1, so hope someone can pull some time back.

where was that fun and joy had? Nice 1500 ft of climb.

Also team Froommmmmmmeee (like Vroom, amirite!) pretty much locked up the TdF today.  Nairo made so many freaking attacks it was pretty spectacular.  Team Sky totally woofed it today.  About the only thing useful they did was kick at a spectator pushing Quinatana.
