Got about 15 in with a ride on some private land in mhk that ended up overlooking Anneberg park.  Scariest freaking descent I've been on coming down this gravel farm road with a cattle grid at the end.

Good riding guys.  I went into the city this weekend.  Nice 33 mile loop on Saturday around our big parks and a hard 15 this morning after dropping my van at the repair shop.

rain messed with my ride today so I stopped at 42.  They were 42 of the hardest fought miles I've ever done due to the wind.  I feel like a survivor right now.

Storms here today. Nice fifteen yesterday. Big cool down tomorrow will offer a nice afternoon ride. Hoping for 20-25 miles after work.

Been hanging around fifteen miles a night this week. Couldn't shift into little front sprocket last night. Made for interesting hill climbs. :)

How goes the riding AST? I'll be in your area next week for some training. Bringing golf clubs. No bike.

Good, got 25 miles in last night but this wind we've been having is really grinding my gears.

Have you ever experienced Topgolf?  http://topgolf.com/us/

I'd be down for whacking some balls there but I haven't played a course in years.

Playing Luna Vista Monday at 2p. Probably whack balls Tuesday or Wednesday evening. I'll drop a PM after I get to Dallas.

Got my 20 in on a mix of gravel and smoooooth roadway.  Only averaged 12.7 (had a few stops where I didn't pause strava, but its more because I'm slow  :Yuck:).

knocked out 60mi this morning.  45 at a ridiculous pace that I had no idea I could ride at for that distance.  the last 15 were at a leisurely 16 pace for cooldown.

i am getting ready to drink all the beer now.

Nice work.  I'm sure you've posted it, but what kind of rig are you riding?

photo pulled from google images due to laziness.

Thanks  edn!  Orca bronze carbon frame (carbon composite) with SRAM Apex groupset.  I think I am going to upgrade the groupset soon cause the Apex is literally grinding my gears.

Nice ride and studly miles, ast. I kept it moderate today. Fast for me 28 miles in zone 2 except for the climbs. Hammered the hills as hard as the ol Raleigh would go.

My ride...

Bike is about three years old. I'm starting to see some wear on the gears. Think I'll upgrade/repair next month. Maybe get a different saddle too.

nice bike & riding.  my next bike will be either charcoal or blackout.

on a different note, I need to find a local cyclist anonymous group.  I logged 146 miles in one week.  my goal was to ride when I got a chance as there was rain forecasted all week.  needless to say it didn't rain as much as was predicted.

I should probably take it easy this week but most definitely won't.

Training Plans help limit the suffering. :)

No riding for the next three or four days for me. I may try to run in Addison. Depends on the booze level with my coworkers. It tends to get a bit high.

I got a nice 30 mile ride in today from Lenexa to the plaza. Saw a motorcycle guy going 60mph clip a car on 47th st. Pretty gnarly, he was walking around tho

was going to go 25 today, stopped at 14.  My borrowed time is over as finally after 8 years of owning a road bike, went down pretty hard.

Fortunately for me I had slowed as I knew the trail area and thought there might be water there from some showers earlier.  Did not see water so kept on coasting and as I hit a lazy curve started fishtailing.  There was an extremely thin layer of mud on the trail.  I was able to ride the fishtail for about 20' until my momentum took me into the ditch.  Then I looked up and saw a bigass tree and decided to go on my side.  Fortunately my landing was mud but damn did the side of my head (helmet) ever hit the ground hard.

The guy that was on my wheel was not so lucky.  As soon as he saw me slide he hit the breaks hard and went right down on the asphalt.  One of his ultegra shifters was smashed, bent and dangling and his derailer was pinched close around his chain.

Just got the mud cleaned off my bike and my lucky streak continues in a way.  Not a scratch on her and everything looks straight.  I think I'll be safe and pick up a new helmet tomorrow and other than some soreness that should be all it costs me.

Thanks for asking!  Took Thursday afternoon off work and sat at home on my couch after popping a couple muscle relaxers, my neck was so stiff I couldn't even move it.  feeling better now though and am gonna hit the road again tomorrow weather permitting.  Reminds me I need to pick up a new helmet tommorrow.

Glad you're feeling better. Had a scare myself today. Zipping down a hill in the rain and had to hit the brakes. Fishtailed and started sliding. Let off the brakes and recovered. Thankfully I didn't eat it. I was over 35 MPH and that would have hurt. A lot.

Wet 25 miles for me today after a slow 15 miles yesterday. Last ride for the week until I get back from Cleveland.

from my thursday gravel. had one downhill on stagg hill road where we got above 40 mph (strava had me exactly at 40 actually).  The tire started to separate at the top of the ride, did the fast down hill.  Went another couple miles for a 30ish mph downhill on the usual gravel portion.  Had a couple sprints races for very short distances on that ride screwing around.  By the time I got home I looked to see how bad the tire was and was surprised to see the liner and tube poking out.

Hey guys - I haven't been riding nearly as much as I would like...endless mowing, ball practices, etc., but next week I will be in Maui and while I am there I am going to rent a bike and attempt this bad boy:
