I would say look into instances of fires of any ebike you buy.

Was in Colorado last week and saw a cyclist at the summit of Cottonwood Pass (12,000 ft elevation) wearing just shorts and sandals while snow flurries blew around him. Looked like he was doing some sort of ultralight bikepacking.

You could have at least said "hi".

As a mere mortal, I didn't feel comfortable speaking to a cycling demigod.

Did a 29.5 mile loop on some gravel/dirt roads outside of Smallville yesterday with some buds. Felt good.

Looks like plans are in the works to make a trail that will go from Abilene to Herington. The portion between Abilene and Enterprise would be pretty vanilla but there could be some good scenery between Enterprise and Herington. Sounds like some of this is 10 - 15 years down the road but nice to have some light on the horizon for recreational trails in central KS.

Our planned 30 mile gravel/county road ride got cut short at mile 26 by rain and lightning. Air temperatures were perfect prior to this. Had to take shelter in a farmer’s shed until someone from town came out and rescued us. Probably the scariest encounter I’ve had with lightning.

No. Just some gravel roads outside of town.

I haven't used the mobile app much, but use the website to plan out routes, which then syncs on to my wahoo for navigation. also have an offline map app on my phone (OsmAnd) as a backup.

Bike toured around Nova Scotia a few weeks ago. It was great. I would recommend not being there at the same time as a hurricane, but otherwise it was pleasant af.
