FWIW, I'm fine with playing opponents similarly rated, like 12 and 14. Last year Ark was simply much better. We were better than Michigan and should have won in 13. Arkansas was quite a bit better in 11.

Of course the converse is we were much better than Syracuse in 10 and managed to blow that game.

Not sure you just did it on accident but we did beat Michigan in 13. Also I didn't feel like Ark was that much better in 11. We had some chances and didn't play that well in my opinion

Yeah, that wasn't a good sentence. I just meant that we won and should have won; Michigan finished #37 and we finished #24.

Schlabach: North Texas vs. Kansas State
McMurphy: California vs. Kansas State

I'm to the point where the Cactus Bowl vs a non Pac-12 fill in is the most desirable outcome for me.

Schlabach has Washington in the Playoff, McMurphy has Louisville.

(both of them have 'bama, ohio state, and clemson in fwiw)

Pac-12 Blog says they will be leaving the Cactus Bowl Vacant, but that is based on the idea that Washington makes the Playoff which is up in the air at best.
