It's really unfair we have to play teams that are good enough to qualify for a bowl game in a bowl game.

Maybe a new rule that KSU must be matched up against non P5 teams?  Sort of prepare our fans for the schedule they apparently want.

y'all may want the Big 12 to renegotiate their bowl tie ins to lower pay out games in obscure locations if you want to play teams like that. As is right now with tie ins Navy is the only non-P5 team we have bowl game agreements with.

I take back my take on Arkansas, I'm good playing them. I'm just asking not to be matched up with a top 15 or borderline top 10 team like we have 4 of the last 5 years. That's all I'm saying.

But i agree, and the only way that happens is if we win out and some how end up in the Russel Athletic Bowl, or Texas Bowl and they force A&M into the Texas Bowl.

FWIW, I'm fine with playing opponents similarly rated, like 12 and 14. Last year Ark was simply much better. We were better than Michigan and should have won in 13. Arkansas was quite a bit better in 11.

Of course the converse is we were much better than Syracuse in 10 and managed to blow that game.

Yeah, it is kind of crazy, they were actually #9 in the FEI rating.

You still have to account for the fact that they did have 5 losses AND they lost to Kliff.

i really don't care whether or not we win our bowl games.  i mean, winning is great but by the next day, i don't care.  i guess a win would indicate that we're playing well, so there's that, but it really is meaningless.

In the olden days when I used to go to bowl games, location mattered to me a great deal.

Now, I'd say day of the week and time of day are the most important factors to me.

first Cactus Bowl projection i've seen that doesn't have the P12 filling that spot.

Accounting for no upsets rest of the P12 season, this could happen if the P12 get two teams in the NY6.
