I always love the kutuckville approach . . . it's straight of the Roy "I am no longer recruiting that player" Williams pre-preemptive press conference playbook.

Issue all kinds of press releases and hold a litany of press conferences about a story that came from Yahoo a little over a day ago . . . of course this applies to all schools not named ku.

Does anyone recall, when the Ticket Scandal/Money Laundering/Pump Brothers story broke, was ku issuing all kinds of statements and holding pressers within 24 hours?

Quote from:  Kirby Hocutt (EMAW)
“There are membership levels within the Hurricane Club at the University of Miami.  While I was athletics director, the benefits and experiences Mr. Shapiro received were consistent with those provided to others at his membership level.  I never personally approved any special access for Mr. Shapiro to university athletics events or programs.”

Yet another Wildcat absolved of wrongdoing.

Fun to see everyone who was involved at UM scramble to make public statements proclaiming ignorance/or even outright innocence of the whole thing. Meanwhile Shapiro was somehow leading the Canes through the smoke tunnel on game days and buying strippers by the bakers dozen for a football team he had complete access to.

How are the tucks rationalizing the fact that Snyder is down with cheating while Ron Prince refused to cheat in order to get the Brown Bros?

I really think it would be great if we sat them out a game anyway.  Just cuz...    :comeatme:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Statement from K-State says it has been in contact with the NCAA, and the league has "no concerns" about the Browns' eligibility at KSU.
