Any press is good press right?

Especially if it implies that we are kinda dirty and may be willing to pay.

Having the kind of "rep" will only help us in the move to Super-Conferences!

Let's assume Arthur and Bryce play all year, then the NCAA decides they were ineligible for each game. We went 8-5. Why, as fans, do we care, at all, that those 8 wins don't count*?

I want a serious answer, seriously.

I would only care in that we should get 9 wins if we play with ineligible players.  Seems like a good benchmark.

Butler is a joke.  He uses a hill in view of my house to train his kids.  The entire month of July he had kids going for a hour at a time in the 100+ heat.  I do not think he has the knowldge to be a trainer.  He said he did not know that Shapiro was a booster.  He is either a fool or stupid, if he is charging to help get kid scholarships you better know the rules.

We don't really know that.  Gill told Crawford thanks but no thanks when he asked to return to the team.  If he suspects a guy is going to be more harmful than good, I think Gill will avoid that player.  The question is if Gill would have recognized the character issues or not.

This is fantastic.  phognet etc. has officially jumped back in the LHC Bill Snyder paranoia bandwagon.   Folks if this continues this will make for some fantastic  :users:

One of my favorites from years ago was, "LHC Bill Snyder flew in on a helicopter to talk the kid out of going to ku".

Outside expert tells me K-State's best plan for action here is to interview Brown brothers and self report any violations ASAP.

KSU could play Browns, but there's a risk of forfeiting games if they are later deemed ineligible. KSU tends to err on the side of caution

So by phogs reasoning the Browns have character issues because they got lunch and a hotel room? I guess it's no beating your girlfriend incident.

When does somebody find out how many reps, (and on what teams) the Brown Brothers were getting in practice today?
When does the ksuck AD or Snyder issue a statement or answer any questions about their intentions regarding sitting them until further notice from the NCAA or what kind of communique may have come from the NCAA today?
Just wondering about a few things ...

Nobody knows how good they really are.  One couldn't get on the field in two years at Miami, and the other had numbers that weren't really any better than James Sims as a freshman, with a better team and OL to block for him.

The most outstanding thing about the Browns throughout their career has been their hype.  They played HS ball in a pretty mediocre league, and they didn't lead their team to much of anything there either.

i'm no bylaw blogger (i mean compared to most Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) fans i am, but compared to real bylaw bloggers i'm not), but i'm pretty sure that if you knowingly play an ineligible player it's a more serious infraction than if you play an ineligible player without knowing it.  i don't think it's just * the record and done.

kstate will self-report.  the tenn brown will get 1 game, the miami brown 3.  that's it, that's why you have noncon games.

I'm all for winning and playing them.  I don't care if we have to vacate them. Oklahoma losing the wins from whatever season didn't make our loss to them feel any better and probably didn't make their win feel any worse to them.  If they want our wins, they can strip them.  I just want the wins in the meantime.

That said, I'll bet the result is the 1 and 3 game thing.

just watching ESPN, and they said they could start the investigation clear back to 2002 when what's his nuts started paying players, so correct me if I'm wrong wouldn't take quit a long while before it catches and reaches the brown bro's?

On that, we're in the clear then right, at least for a while? :dunno:

The best thing we can do is self report and make sure the suspensions are served in the nonconference games.
