Lets talk NCAA tourney Tix

Do any of you well traveled people have any insidery info on how the school distributes tickets for this sort of thing? What donation level is required to be in the running to get tix? Maybe info on how to secure tix some way other than through the school?

The schools ask you to buy them in advance.  KSU has already asked for payments.  It goes in order of your points, or whatev.

NCAA tix are easy to get.  Scalping is never a problem.

Its usually better to buy them through Ticketmaster or the Tournament Site than through your school, unless you have a very high donation level. I got tickets through the U of M (Host of the Minneapolis site last year) and had half-court line seats about 25 rows up.

heres how much times have changed... back in '81 (blackman si cover days) as the 'cats were headed to pauly pavillion in lost angeles for the sub-regional... we had a group that planned to drive out... checked with the athletic dept... they said "you go and we will GIVE you tickets"... sadly, bagged the trip as most of the group wanted to head to denver for a stones concert later and couldn't float both

Or wait till bracket is announced on selection sunday and call the farthest (and shittiest) school away from OKC.  Was able to get my tickets thru Cal State Fullerton 2yrs ago...

So should I cancel my request for tickets through K-State and go a different route or are other donors here still trying to go through the University if possible?  Not having any idea where the tickets will be is kind of scary

This is a great idea.
