Unless we are getting paid a good amount of money for it, moving the game to ESPN3 is titanically stupid.

That number can be found in a couple of different places using the same vernacular, $4 million from KStateHDtv, alone. It's possible that this is just an incorrect number quoted by multiple journalists, FWIW Blair Kerkhoff is the first to use this number and he did in in May of 2015, he said it was from 2014. Jake Trotter was the author of the quote I posted and he used this as his reference http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/finances/ unless I'm missing something it doesn't show how much of that revenue is tier 3.

Total Tier III is about $4.5 million.  I'm on my phone, but got to the Kstate site, look under Department/Financial/Audited Report 2016, page 3 or 4ish in the 2016 summary.  It goes up this year.

Thanks, so I guess we'll have to wait until next summer to see what this deal is going to do for tier 3 revenue, for better or worse.

Im more curious about net gain from that revenue. Yes $4 million seems like an impressive number. But what were expenses, etc of running KSUHDTV?  Just curious if KSUHDTV was ever truly modeled to be something lucrative long term or merely a good digital playform to give fans more options until a better platform came along? Maybe I'm off base there
