I'm not sure which expectation is more unrealistic. Brown bros are locks for the Smoke award.

If the dude isn't willing to work hard (like all the other players in the country) he probably won't ever live up to his hype. He won't be playing games against Wichita South this season so he may want to go ahead and put as much work in as possible.Yes but he was already pretty productive in the SEC as a true freshman. Had like 500 yards rushing and 100 something receiving as a backup to a guy that was drated in the second round. Dude was the #1 overall recruit in the country,"pretty productive" isn't what we're looking for with him. Adrian Peterson had like 1900 yds as a freshman.Ricky Williams is 2nd on the all-time rushing list and he only had 990 yards his freshman year.

Ricky had more than twice the rushing yds, 8 TDs compared to BB's 3, and avg'd 1.4 more yds/carry. Oh, and Ricky played minor league baseball during the summer, while Bryce "kinda did his own thing."
Id be fine with him splitting time with rose/hubert the first two games

OBz is obligated to make the public display of disapproval, but when the chips are on the table, his best players will be on the field. Except when it's Fiesta Bowl, and crap is really on the table....

Is Rose second on the chart or is it Pease?
I watched the entire game and my memory failed me because a year or so ago I got into a heated discussion about him starting--I said he didn't. Then I went back and looked at the box score and sure enough he did. Don't know why we think he didn't?
Quote from: jtksu on August 09, 2011, 09:22:57 PMIs Rose second on the chart or is it Pease?I don't know what the actual chart says but Pease will get a ton of carries while I doubt Rose ever sees the field outside of mop up time.
Academics is a stupid word.Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not. So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.
