What a freaking zoo. Sweedish meatballs were delish, though.

Do they have Swedish markets at all locations? I've only been to the Twin Cities location so I wasn't sure if that was just because of all the Swedes up there or what.

Yeah, a furniture maker from Sweden. I just wasn't sure if the market thing was in every store or if that was unique to the stores in places with large Swedish population. Just seems like a Swedish market would get more business in Minnesota than, say, Frisco, TX.

They said it is their second-largest store in North America behind the one in Chicago and that the 50,000 sf. restaurant is the biggest... I just have a hard time believing they need that big a restaurant, what was your impression? Is the store that big that you have to sit down and eat a meal just to nourish yourself before heading back out there?

The restaurant was absolutely packed. Lines everywhere. When something like that is that big of a money maker, why not invest in it? I will say, it seemed a bit smaller than 50K sf. The serving area was around 5K max. The seating area is where most of the square footage was.

i like how they have two restaurants. a full fledged one upstairs (for a break between floors) and the one downstairs w/the sweet deals (like two bags of chips, two hotdogs, two cokes for $ 2.22)

Anybody buy any junk from this place (any location) yet? Experienced Ikea'rs from the coasts firmly believe Denver didn't have one because ppl would revolt against huge box stores/non-local/free-trade items. Well, they did revolt. Revolution crushed. Plenty of mindless idiots here as well, though.

Pretty sure I've seen numerous big box stores in Denver.

Also, thinking about building an ikea murphy bed for the home office room. Looks pretty easy.
