didn't know if it was worthy of its own thread...

Quote
That same week, I wrote a travel blog about our trip to the OU-Kansas State game. I wrote about how much I like Manhattan and the state of Kansas. You can read it here:

And a few days later, I received a hand-written note that said this:

“Dear Berry, Several folks have forwarded to us your fine article about your trip to MNK. Regardless of results on the field, it is the ‘color’ of traditions of different communities & institutions that makes college athletics special. Articles like this one promote sportsmanship & respect, rather than hostility & hatred — I appreciate you taking the time to write it. All the best! John Currie”

John Currie is the athletic director at Kansas State. I have not met John, but I would like to. He wrote with purple ink, which is another reason to love K-State. The note was a classy move.

Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

I'm betting he doesn't but he probably has poor handwriting.

I hope it wasn't a purple gel pen.  That would really change the way I look at Currie.

I'm hoping they just sell purple ink inserts for Cross pens.  Otherwise, I'm sure he wrote that with paper from his iCarly Trapper Keeper.

Currie is more of a Victorious guy, IMHO.

Currie obvs wrote the note in purp crayon to mock the Okie.  The Okie, being an Okie, didn't pick up on it.

He's prob a Papermate flair type of guy.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
