Probably not, the green facemask is a modern Nike addition, but gold helmets with a green stripe is a retro thing, that's all I was saying. I'm sure the green jersey with plain white numbers is also and it makes sense why they are doing a throwback take for this game. I don't disagree that many of their other combos from the season are better.

yeah I get that, I don't know bu football history enough to know if they wore gold pants or white helmets in the 60's but if they did it would look better with that jersey

For their final game ever at Floyd Casey Stadium against Texas on December 7th, the Bears will take the field in some very handsome throwback uniforms modeled after those worn by the program in the 1950s. The dark green of the jerseys, socks and mid-helmet stripe is extremely rich and pairs beautifully with the off-gold helmet and white pants.

Surprised the Navy guy wasn't all over the offer to lick balls. 

The other day one of my colleagues was bitching about his time in the Navy and how one time they were out to sea too long and had to ration food.  And then I said "but you never had to sleep in the mud." And then he said "well ya that would suck."

Baylor was actually a sporadically decent program from the 50s through the early 90s. Not anything like the doormat we were before the 90s.

My first memory of the earth was 1994, so that's all I've ever thought they were until last year ( )
