New Uniforms Master Thread

Don't mess with tradition, or tradition may mess with you.

I've had this discussion before and agree totally.

The more teams in the XII that change their uniforms the more I want to be the only team to keep their uniforms. We are now the only team, along with Texas, that doesn't have an alternate or have changed their uniforms in some way.

Call me a tuck, idgaf. New uniforms get old, but winning never does and that's what we do.

I'm not going to give in to some sort of consumerism tick that we need new shiny things that don't actually do anything for the program or our athletes.

Big new shiny facilities actually do something for the program/athlete.

• Training Table
• Recruiting
• Weight Room
• Metting Rooms
• Academic Center
• Film Rooms

The first thing on every recruits checklist --->  Are we going to win?
New uniforms do nothing in achieving this goal for the recruit if anything it distracts them from it.

I guess my stance is.. If a uniform becomes out dated so be it change it, at a certain point an old uniform can become a distraction.

None of this change it for change sake when it really has no advantage. I can think of more teams that change their uniform as a distraction from their performance than I can those that change it for it's results.

We too have an element, albeit very very small and typically recently pubescent, whom wishes to "modernize" our look. Fortunately their efforts are dismissed out of hand.
My grandfather played in essentially the same uni, although his helmet was leather. You cannot improve on perfection.
