I can understand most of these reasons. I've never been a "member" over there. I've always used friends accounts, and I can assure you that I would never waste money for any message board site. That sucks though. I guess I never understood it, because doing sports radio at 91.9, I use to work with Fitz a lot. He definately "has his way" with the ladies! haha

I get a kick out of gopowercat, but mostly because some of the "OT" stuff is so absurd. 

As far as the sports coverage goes, it just seems like they're a bunch of lazy reporters (save for RC) giving boring information to a bunch of naive cotton-tops.

cassidy is lazy, but is good at what he does, and does work that is incredibly important.  the others are lazy and either not good at what they do, or do stuff that has no value.

I personally didn't care for the type of clientele they had been attracting in the last few years, and I felt the quality of the content, overall, was starting to drop significantly.  Less recruiting updates, more game recaps (which I didn't need to pay for considering I got those for free elsewhere), and a lot of the writing was very formula driven.

Cassidy was the only one still writing there when I left that had ability.

And unlike some of the folks here, I don't really have a problem with Fitz.  I just felt like the guys he was farming his work out to (aside from Cassidy) weren't worth my money, and 90% of the people posting on his message boards weren't people I'd want to consort with outside of that message board, so I decided to come to a place where I liked the posters and felt like I got more for, well, nothing.

Hating GPC is like hating your uncle who loves speedboats and Bud Light and says odd, borderline offensive things at family functions. You definitely wouldn't want to hang out regularly and probably don't agree with him on much, but he is entertaining for a variety of reasons in small doses.

Student leaders were unwilling to even take the public transit issue to the student senate for consideration of student fees to support it. With all due respect to students, if they really wanted public transit, one would think they'd have taken a step to increase fees to help pay for it. It was the lack of a long term commitment that caused the tea party commission to say 'no thanks.' I also always thought public transit had a place in Manhattan. But I was surprised at the lack of commitment to a long term plan from the university and student body particularly. EMAW
