Attendance for your poser/wannabe rivalry with Iowa State was a little over 38,000.  You were saying?

It's the huge rivalry game Beems, and there was 25,000 empty seats.

Attendance has sucked so bad for the HUGE rivalry game between MU and KU that they had to combine the 2 fanbases and still . . . 25,000 empty seats.

That's why K-State is all over the largest crowd charts for KU, and is in the top 10 crowds for MU . . . KU, nada.

55,000+ seems pretty good for an 11 AM kickoff between two teams that weren't really playing for anything.

I'd say 85% of that were MU fans.  KU fans hibernate during football season.

Yet there are real rivalry games where they'd have standing room only with 100K people in the stands even if both teams were winless.

KU vs MU . . . 25,000 empty seats.

Imagine Michigan and Ohio St having 25,000 empty seats anywhere... Can't do it.

K-State in the Top 10 crowds a MU, and along with Nebraska dominates the Top Crowds chart at KU . . . ku at mu; way down the charts. mu at ku; way down the charts.

Lamest historic rivalry in the country.  ku vs mu at Arrowhead 2010: 25,000 Empty Seats.

This could be the most KU fans the Truman Sports Complex sees all year.

Says the fan of a program that couldn't even fill up half of Arrowhead for your poser/wannabe rivalry with Iowa State.

Beems I hate to pile on here but did you check the attendance figure for the "Border war" from last fall before posting this nugget?

Who would be jealous of a HUGE rivalry that kicksoff at 11 am on Fox and has 25,000 empty seats . . . and is already set for yet another 11 am kick off this year.

No way ku or mu moves K-State off campus, we're HUGE business and the numbers say that again, and again, and again.

Interesting... almost makes you wonder why only 38,000+ showed up for a poser/wannabe rivalry with Iowa State.

Who knows Beems . . . I suppose it's just like no one cared about the Border War per usual.

I guess the Border War does actually produce an impact game about once every 30 years or so, so I guess that pretty much explains why nobody ever shows up and they had to move to Arrowhead to try and drum up some interest.

Meanwhile K-State . . . on the all time record crowd charts at KU again, and again, and again, and again, same with MU.

I wonder why there were more KSU fans than your own, in your stadium after the 3rd quarter? :ck:

KU football has been historically terrible.  We're a basketball school, in case you hadn't noticed.

Hmmm.... probably because KU got the sh*t kicked out of them by a mediocre Pinstripe Bowl squad.

Well, so much for "Lew is Building a monster".

Reality:  KU vs MU, a nice regional rivalry that actually produces an impact game about once every 30-40 years.

Beems does not look good in green.  Wonder why he chooses to wear it all day, every day?
