Every song of hers I heard made me want to kill myself, it was that bad.
You have bad taste and music.

Noted.

Can't say that it surprises me.

What exactly is your first language?

Amy Crackhouse always sounded like she was trying to sound like someone else.  She had no real soul, just a simulacrum of what other singers with soul actually sounded like.  Comparing her to the artists she was imitating is like seeing some fat-assed Elvis impersonator at the county fair and saying, "Wow!  This must be what it was really like to see The King in Vegas!"

Oh, and Hendrix, Joplin, Cobain and the others all revolutionized music in some way.  Crackhouse was a cheap imitation.  Her death is sad, but so are the deaths of thousands of people by drugs every year, and I don't see Crackhouse's fans lamenting them much.

Janis Joplin was worse than Winehouse at singing/making music. Joplin was rough ridin' terrible.

Janis Joplin was worse than Winehouse at singing/making music. Joplin was effing terrible.

I'd do the nasty with a 25-year-old Janis before I did the nasty with a 25-year-old Crackhouse.  Janis when she fronted Big Brother and the Holding Company wiggled and moved and had spirit that made her chubby-sexy.  Crackhouse would be like wrestling with some piece of modern art made of barbed wire and trash bags.

Q: What's do Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, and Amy Winehouse have in common?

A: They are all overrated.

Yes, I know I excluded Hendrix, but he was actually talented.

I don't think Winehouse was overrated at all. She was at worst rated appropriately, if not underrated due to her wacky appearance and lifestyle. No one put her on the "god" pedestal they put Morrison, Joplin, or Cobain, (other than people that group her with them because she was 27 when she died).

It must have been taken before she ruined her life with drugs. Just another casualty to the pipes and needles. So, so sad.
