If things don't change . . .
« on: February 23, 2010, 11:16:33 PM »
and Frank continues to play Lu Colon 20 minutes a game, and Lu continues to think he's a "go to" guy in the post.

There's a crisp, paper cut ready C-Note to any student who starts a fight with Lu in the Ville and gets him suspended for the rest of the season.

When has this ever gotten any "go to" athlete on a KSU team suspended?

You mean you didn't like Lu continually shooting a right handed hook?  :dunno:

Lu's +/- was 0.

If lou doesnt have at least four fouls/fouls out and causes at least one other player to bleed he has failed.

Lou has been doing this more lately and it's really frustrating.  All of a sudden he thinks he can score 14 points a game.  Where was Judge tonight?  Bad week of practice I suppose.

I hate Lu, but there's no one else I'd rather have on my side in a fight. About all he's good for.

If you hate Lu you have a lot of misdirected hate. He deserved every shot/miss that he took tonight. He's a Real American Hero in my book even if Puerto Rico is just a commonwealth.

This is Lu's failure tonight and why he ended up getting more PT than usual.  I hope he knocks an Mu player out to make up for it

Lu decided to shadow practice his right handed throw (note, will not be called a shot until further notice) a couple of times in the paint

I was rolling when Lou did that.

I think Franks just f'n with us. When the game's on the line Lou is nowhere to be found. With that being said, how glad are you that we don't have a Darko on our team?  I would hate my life if I had to cheer for that guy.

Already happened.  How do you think Lou ended up with his broken hand at the beginning of the year???

FWIW, I hate him. When he played for Seward County and came to Pratt CC to play, me and some friends were talking some crap to him and during a free throw, he flipped us off secretly. Kinda one of those itch the side of the head but have your middle finger up. We just proceeded to  our asses off.

Why? Because he tries hard? Because he's a "bruising big body"? Please. He should never ever touch the ball.

don't mind lu being in the game.  anytime lu shoots outside of offensive rebounds we should blame the rest of the team for passing him the ball

Lou shouldn't be shooting the 4-6 times per game he is now, he gets in trouble when he gets isolated against quicker players (about all others), and he gets beat when he's tired.  But people miss some of the things he does well; help defense in particular*.  Plus, his role has been reduced this year and he's playing fewer minutes, but like I've said, Frank trusts him.  And when you gain Frank's trust like Lou has, you get a little bit bigger margin for error and you are going to play.

*Yes, this is a current gpc talking point, but its a valid one.

lu is a pretty good half court defender.  don't ask him to get back and in position w/o the transition already being stopped.

This is true. Although he does get up and down the court fairly well for his size, he does it with is head down.

When he's prowling the lane though he has some real defensive ability. I've even been surprised by some of his defensive plays where he doesn't commit a foul recently. Drawing charges, backside help, swatting the crap out undersized players who wander to far down low, ets.

true, he just shouldnt shoot
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
