Well Michiganisgood, how does it feel to have your own network clown you? All weekend long the Big 10 Network welcomes Nebraska. It is "Nebraska Weekend."

Dr. Tom's final pre-game speech as Head Football Coach.

"The door is cracked open but if we play the way we need the door will be fairly wide open for you. We may not make it in both polls, I am convinced if we play as well as we can play we can make it in at least one."

Turner Gill reflecting: "You still want to let those guys on the team know that there is still a chance. So we let them know there was still a chance."

Lots of roided up white guys yelling weird pre-game prayers merged with weight room slogans.

They have the headset audio from Dr. Tom in the game. They used it to show that Dr. Tom knew to put in the nickel when there were 4 WR and no fullback. AMAZING!

They have a nice bit of audio as Bobby Newcombe drops a ball. "OOOOOOOHHHHH."

Then they have video Osborne reviewing the failed drive with Scott. Scott didn't listen to him at all. Pretty awesome.

Turner Gill: "Coach has a way to communicate with people. He has a way to stay positive and that is something he stresses to all of us other coaches. It doesn't matter if your up, down, early, late, last minute. It doesn't matter what the score is he's always trying to scheme."

Some rando asst. coach "I've never heard a word of profanity come out of his mouth. I've never heard him ridicule or tear down another person. There are a lot of opportunities to lose it, but he never has."

He becomes "Dr. Osborne" at halftime as the lockerroom becomes his classroom.

Doc got his nickname from "Doc" on Gunsmoke. Not too many people out there that can remember that show. That makes you old Rick.

What is the biggest difference in style of play?

"I pick a team each week and spend some time watching them. It is a much more athletic league than some people have lead me to believe. The physical play is there because it is an older league."

A two question interview. Mike DeCourcey comes on to provide some more context. They can't play on the road, they can't score. Nebraska now has the opportunity to go recruit new areas. Indiana, Michigan, Ohio.

I was taking a coaching job in San Francisco and I was about to leave. It was St. Patrick's Day. I wanted to ask her to marry me before I left to take the job. Did not have any money. Could not locate her father so, I asked her mom and gave her my Big 10 championship ring until I could save up enough to buy her a ring.

We won 3 out of 4 polls and had almost twice the combined votes from the AP & Coaches..

I'm not saying they should be ashamed of getting a retirement present from the coaches, just not sure they should celebrate it so much..
